A planet-sized living being drifting through space, with enormous organic rings surrounding a central brain and single eye.
Astrobion is not a planet, but a living being on a planetary scale. Its immense organic structure is built around a central brain with a single eye, surrounded by an external cortex that gathers and brings energy to the brain. Two massive bone rings protect the creature from the threats of space, while additional rings form its glandular, alimentation, and life-support organs.
The largest ring stretches approximately 7 kilometres across, giving visitors a sense of the extraordinary scale of this creature. With gravity at only 29% of Earth's gravity, travellers can fly and make enormous jumps across its surface and structures.
The visual concept of Astrobion was inspired in part by the Orgoscope from Guardians of the Galaxy, but Astrobion is conceived as a completely natural living being rather than an artificial structure. The creature's anatomy, organic rings, and biological systems are part of its own original design.
A small outpost provides a place to land and begin exploring Astrobion. The Breemor serves as the arrival point, connecting this strange living world to the other destinations of the Space Opera Suite.
